"Staff were friendly although most knew little to no English. Building is in need of some serious repairs and upgrades. That being said, we would return again."

"We enjoyed our stay at Oleo. It's a boutique property, so it's not as big as some all-inclusives, but it was very nice. The food was great with lots of different options available and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The property needed a little maintenance - a fussy elevator, some damaged tiles, low flow shower drain, etc., but overall it's pretty clean. Overall, our 5 days there was a good experience."

"The staff at Dos Playas were exceptional! Everyone was really nice and accommodating, from the front desk staff to the servers. Guadalupe and Luis were particularly great servers, and they made our stay all the more enjoyable! The beach area is great, and it is easy to access excursions from this hotel. The buffet was great every day, from breakfast to dinner. There are also pretty good snack options on-site, like pizza and burgers. There is entertainment in the nighttime, which was enjoyable....

"The hotel is beautiful, it’s a stunning older building rich with Mexican art and culture. The pool area is lovely, the hotel boasts a stunning view of the luscious turquoise Caribbean Sea, and the private beach is a huge perk! A downside is that the taps in the bathroom and the shower head need renovating, they are outdated and don’t work as well as they should do. Another downside is the mattresses aren’t very good quality, they feel hard and wouldn’t be ideal for people who have back...

"Across the street from Xcaret Ferry to Isla Mujeres and a 10 minute walk to the public beach. Newly renovated comon area and pool. Great to be in a quieter part of the Hotel Zone for a reasonable price."
