The balcony of our apartment looked out over a beautiful building across the way and had a partial ocean view. We enjoyed that feature! "The Hotel offers a clean large room, minimalist design With closet, desk and minifridge and 2 beds. . The location is very centrally located, on the beach. Many restaurants are located within a 10 minute walk. The price is quite resonable for the location. My only quibble would be the rather tepid hot water in the shower. But this is hardly unique. All in all if you are looking for few frills with beach access and a 10 minute walk to the town center, this is a good choice. "

"My husband and I just spent 3 nights at Playa Maya. We got to the hotel a little late, but was greeted by Marvin (I believe he's night time security) who helped us to our room. The hotel doesn't have a street entrance so you must walk through the beach, which was fine, we're at the beach anyway! They provide fresh water for the rooms and ours was cleaned nicely everyday.
