"The home was very clean and comfortable. Access to the beach via the Reef hotel was busy as Oscar promised, but the side access worked well!We had one day where the running water wasn't working. Oscar explained that this is because there's a tank shared by the whole building and if the building is really full sometimes it runs out before the staff can re-fill it."

"We loved staying at the Blue Angel. It was very Central. Close to Restaurants, the Beach,5th Avenue. It is a small, Rustic, Mexican style apartment. We used outdoor patio, always! It has cutlery, pots, pans, we cooked a lot! It was just the two of us! You have to climb stairs to get to apartment. We love Susan, she was our cleaning lady, she gave us fresh towels, changed sheets for us and cleaned apartment when asked. If you are wanting to be pampered, go to a Resort. But we loved staying there....

"My husband, kids and friends with 2 kids recently had the pleasure of staying for a week at this beautiful residence. The location is excellent, close to everything (minutes to the beach and a short walk to town) but the area is quiet and well kept. The house is beautiful, has recently been renovated with a real attention to detail. The concierge was friendly, responsive and very helpful. Occidental at Xcaret Destination - All Inclusive

"There is a lot of great wildlife on the property as it is right beside Xcaret. Having two private entrances to Xcaret is great as it takes many days to fully appreciate everything in Xcaret. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Lunch and breakfast food selection options were great. Dinner selections were very varied. For the most part the property is kept very clean but could do better job picking up cans and glasses around the pool areas at the end of each day as you found the odd ones still around the next morning. The bartenders are not very good making the fancy cocktails as they should be made but they do not skimp on alcohol. Service in the al la carte restaurants was not consistent but upon request they were responsive. This was our 3rd time at this hotel and overall we would return again."
