"We just spend a 4 night trip to the hotel, it was way much better than we expect! The staff is amazing! The room too, we met really nice people and want to come back right away! Everything was just perfect, our new happy place. Esperanza and Angel were so amazing. Only thing to improve is maybe the food, for us was like 7/10, just ate at hotel ( never went to El Dorado ) See you soon for sure and thank you very much!"

We felt safe in the neighborhood. The downside of the location is the noise. The property is next to a bus station whose PA system can be heard inside the apartment. A few issues to identify- it was confusing to find out where to check in as this was a separate entity from Grand Bahia Principe. Some of the security guards didn’t know where to send us. "We stayed at Corto Maltes for a week, starting 7/8/13, room 204. The place has "good bones" but needs some upkeep to be really top-notch. A new coat of paint would be a start. This is a condo that is rented out by the owners and managed by the staff at El Faro - those folks were pleasant but did not solve some of the issues that needed attention.
