Xel-Ha was a cool adventure park with snorkeling the natural estuary as the main attraction. Saw tons of fish including two grouper of 4 feet or more, zip lines into the water, cliff diving, and many other neat attractions. Well worth a visit.

"Close to everything! Expedia was a bit confusing with the receipt saying the room was already paid for... It wasn't. Not a big deal, and definitely not Wabi Hostel's fault. "For the price, Colorbox is a good option to stay close to Tulum (the hotel is located15 km north of the city), the Maya ruins of Coba, and various beaches. It's clean and no frills (no closet or dresser, or even a single hook). You get a clean and comfortable bed and a good shower with hot water. "NOT AS ADVERTISED. I arrived and was told I couldn't check in despite calling ahead that I would be a bit late. When I was finally given a bed the room was dirty, the bathroom moldy, and the sheets had a very strong smell that made me itchy. The room had no running AC, only a fan that was as loud as a helicopter. The room was significantly hotter than the temperature outside by morning. The central pool was under construction so only a small part of the courtyard by the bar was accessible. When...

"This was our 3rd visit, we love this hotel, the location, beach, pools, food and people. The rooms are good (some sound issues due to the echoes); but still good; The food is well done; the drinks are good; the service and people who clean, make food are all friendly and super helpful! I used laundry service and they were awesome! The amount of room and activities to do is great, never bored and will definitely try to make it back again!! Wifi works everywhere. As Canadians I did notice how all items sold the Mexican dollar matched US dollars on all items and things were quite pricey for us. "

"This was our 4th vacation at a Riu Palace, first one at this particular resort (Playa del Carmen)..we stay with them because the people, service, dining and resort are always fabulous the only slight negative on this trip was that due to the continued very hot weather, the swimming pools water was warmer than what i prefer...still swam them every day as well as the ocean"

"It was a oasis away from reality. We got to celebrate my wifes birthday with beautiful scenery and delcious food. The calm yet exciting pool scene was a real motivator to wakeup in the morning. Having our room lead out to a private pool gave us zen vibes. "
