We picked Bahia Principe Luxury Akumal because it gives access to all the restrants, pools and branches.But it turned out that some beaches don't allow kids, but there are no signs saying that. We've been asked to leave once. I'd say Luxury Akumal is not really kids friendly "

"The staff was very nice. Everything was clean and beautiful. The spa was the best experience I’ve ever had at a spa. The buffets were delicious. It was difficult to make reservations at the restaurants and when we arrived, we could barely get into any of them. This should be an option to book before arrival or through an app. "

The room is really spacious, with interesting interior design, large bathroom with both a shower and jacuzzi tub and all the necessities needed for after the shower. Plenty of towels, no need to bring your own for the beach. The restaurant food was really good and the staff very helpful. Very clean in and out of the room. The property has its own beach with chairs, bean bags and kayaks. I would gladly go there again. The only negative I have is about the area around, the road to the hotel is very narrow, bumpy and there was a construction work in the neighboring property with quite some noise during the day. "
