"Picked this resort for my birthday trip and I am so glad I did. The property is beautiful. The view from my room was amazing!! The staff had the best customer service and made us feel so welcome. This resort is all inclusive and all of the restaurants had delicious food. When I came back to my room on my birthday, there was a piece of cake and champagne. I will definitely return to this resort!!"

"Amazing property and lots of activities both in property and off. Staff is extremely accommodating for needs and assistance- from calling a cab to helping you get in contact with excursion folks for all your activity needs! Several onsite restaurants for different food wants- all inclusive so drinks and restaurants are free (obviously)! Lots of pools - even a swim up bar for the adults! We don’t have kids but if you do, this is a great spot for families! Short 10 min walk to the beach through a private walkway on the RIU property - but they also have a shuttle that comes every 5-10 min if you need a lift! They also have a restaurant/pools at the beach that’s included! "

"Smaller resort than what we're used but we liked it very much. It is located in a closed off area of Playa del Carmen making it less accessible and safer. They offered an all day long Kids Club which was a big plus for both parents and kids who had various fun and entertaining activities. Recommended. "

"First time at this property, 5th time in Mexico and 2nd time at a Riu Resort (Ocho Rios). The property was beautiful, well laid out and maintained. It was spotless! Check-in was easy and our rooms were ready a couple hours early. The rooms were fresh, clean, no smells and the air conditioning worked perfectly. There is a tub in the middle of the room; weird but it made for a good clothes hanger! The beach and pool were perfect. Chair hogs around the pool but plenty of loungers on the beach. Restaurants were good and did not require reservations. The buffet was good to great. Italian restaurant was OK. The steakhouse/lunch restaurant was very good. The bar grill Pepe food was poor. Drinks from the bar were great, the coffee bar in the lobby was amazing. There is a convenience store under the lobby in the parking lot. You can golf at Hard Rock across the street for a discount. BRING LOTS OF BALLS! Great hotel and Riu overall is consistent in quality."

"Great experience. Room was closer to the theater so a couple of nights were a bit loud. Room seemed to be a bit dated but otherwise clean. Everything else was super good including dining options, staff, quality of food, drinks, entertainment options for kids"
