"The service was second to none. Although I’ve seen negative reviews about the meals, we really enjoyed them. The beach was awesome! The pool always had activities going on and a fun environment. As other reviews indicate, the rooms are dated and require some tender loving care but we were not there for the room. The grounds were kept very clean and well maintained: thw whole process for booking an a a la cartes was a bit ridiculous as they had theme nights at the buffet for the same meals.having said that, the staff were great and the meals delicious, the drinks awesome and the beach was unbelievable! What’s not to love?! We got a great price on our rooms and had a fantastic experience. Thank you allegro Playacar!"

"The service was exceptional, the entire property was impeccably clean, and the staff were friendly and attentive throughout our stay. We had a wonderful experience overall. The only downside was the presence of a large amount of sargassum on the beach, but of course, that’s a natural occurrence and beyond the hotel’s control."

"This is the place you hope you’re booking when you book an all-inclusive resort. It’s beautiful, well-maintained, the rooms are spectacular, the balconies are large, palm trees everywhere, it’s quiet, has multiple pools, some hidden away in corners, the staff are excellent, the food is amazing, and there’s plenty of space on the beach to lounge. Every pair of loungers comes with a shade and a table for drinks. Servers come around routinely and the drinks are awesome. The restaurants themselves are incredible and we are so very happy with our stay. We’d recommend this place to anyone we love, and plan to go back ourselves next winter."
