"We overall liked our experience at El Cid. It was great having 3 resorts to walk to and eat at. It didn't seem crowded at all. Staff was great. Downside was our room at the marina smelled very musty. They changed our room and was a little better but still musty. Our friends had an air conditioner that wasn't working so they ended up at one of the other resorts that was newer and didn't have the musty smell. We enjoyed all the restaurants except the seafood one. Was very disappointed in the food...

"This resort is beautiful! All the staff were very friendly and helpful. They found out it was my birthday and made the day feel really special :) Would highly recommend this resort, especially anyone interested in any of the xcaret parks. There is a little boat that will take you straight from the resort the xcaret next door!"

"The Sunset Princess was great. Very large property so lots of walking. Large beach with lots of seating. I like quiet, however everything shut down too early. Restaurants were closed down and you have to be organized to get reservations, because you can only do 2 days at a time...overall, we would recommend this resort. We had a great time. "

"We loved this hotel as a family. Tons to do! Out of our 7 days, we never felt bored. We had no desire to leave the hotel because there was so much we could do on site. The only downside was no hot water in our room which made it extremely difficult with an infant and toddler. Beyond that, we loved our stay. "

"We stayed in the king suite, living room and kitchenette with a big balcony. The Palm was exactly what we wanted. Close to everything. If you don’t like noise being kitty corner to 5th Ave strip there are a few places with loud music close by, we still didn’t find it bothersome. The staff was friendly and very helpful. We had a wonderful experience! "

"I attended a conference at The Reef 28 and was very pleased with the hotel as a vegetarian. The rooms were huge, and the water filling areas were close. The breakfast was huge, with so many options and someone who could make specialty egg products. I appreciated that the items were labeled, though in a few causes, I wish it was a little cleared as to what was vegetarian. I'm glad they rotated menus daily on the main restaurant. "Property was very pretty but definitely needed updating. We were in a preferred room but never had the mini bar stocked with the “normal” preferred amenities even when asked or requested. Check in and check out was very easy. The buffet was okay, I would try to eat at the specialty restaurants if I was a guest reading this review. The shower water temperature never did get hot, housekeeping was very attentive to the room. My daughter woke up on Day 3 covered in what appears to be bed bug bites...

"Loiked that everything was close together and easy to navigate on site. What I didn't like was how the Ala carts needed to be booked, 1 staff in particular had said we were promised a few things and the fact that everyone has a different colour band and some are exclusive to some and not to others. My wife got a drink one day from a bar and the next day she was not allowed."
