"We have been several times and we like the hotel, but every year we have to fight to get a room we like, even when we request a certain room or area ahead of time. This year they put us in a room for 2 days , then we had to move for the last 5 to the room we wanted. Very inconvenient, since you have to check out at noon and wait til 3:00 for your room"

"Absolutely loved our week stay at El Cid. Every single staff member was so kind (thank you Ari, Armando, Miguel, David, Victor, Roger, Juan, and Roberto, plus everyone else whose name I couldn’t catch!!). The snorkeling in front of the resort is incredible - we saw so many different fish, a spotted eagle ray, and a southern sting ray. Very cool sunken anchor to look at too.
