"Had a lot of fun with 2 young kids. Huge, beautiful property. Buffets could be better, food variety and quality was lower than other hotels I’ve stayed in the area. Also their eco initiatives are a bit much - no straws at all and only one beach towel per person per day detracts from the vacation experience "

"We visited this Riu in November 2024 and had a great time. The beach was fantastic, the pools were great, and the food was excellent. The only negative for the entire trip was that food and snacks in the sports bar were not refreshed on a timely basis. If you want a late snack catch one of the buffets before they close."

"We had a wonderful time at barcelo beaches, had a few issues that guest services took care of immediately and made things fantastic for us, highly recommend the caribe buffet and the Kyoto Al a carte restaurant were our favorites, coral restaurant wasn't great in regards to service and the menu selection. The pool and beach were really great, bartenders were excellent and would definitely look to return in the future. Clakson from guest services and the whole team there really took care of us, really appreciate it."

"Hotel lobby needs to be improved like the Diamond Club lounge area or at least has a strong ceiling considering the hot/ warm weather. "

"I came on a solo trip on the birthday and I can say I had the best time!!! Food never disappointed, atmosphere was welcoming and most importantly as a female alone I felt super safe! I definitely recommend coming here and I will be back"
