"this is an old hotel that has been restored several times. As such, it is NOT a resort like you would get in "new" San Juan. What it doesn't have in bells and whistles it makes up for in warmth and charm. The staff go above and beyond, the location is unbeatable, and the old world ambiance makes for a wonderful stay. My only word of caution is do not drive to the hotel as there is no dedicated parking, and especially on weekends, parking can be a challenge. Will definitely stay there again!"

"The overall vibe and location was great for old San Juan - the inside was amazing with a lofted (open air room) and 2 bedrooms. The only downside was the noise all night long (we stayed on a wednesday night) which made the lofted room pretty loud as a result. Also, didn't have access to the crib we requested when booking (my bad for not following up on this!) - but we made do as we were only staying for one night! "

"I loved that the hotel was smack dab in the middle of Old San Juan. The architecture and cultural vibe of the hotel was very authentic. The hotel had everything I needed. As a solo traveler I was safe and secure. My room, the classic queen, was small, perfect for one, would’ve been a bit tight with two. Outlets were sparse (as expected in a building several hundred years old) and the Flat screen TV didn’t work great. Staff was friendly and welcoming *****."
