"The property for being old is well maintained and very comfortable. Its in a very quiet area and we felt safe and comfortable the moment we arrived. Our only issue was there was a private ceremony that was being held at the restaurant and the outdoor seating was below our window. The amount of talking and yelling children was a disturbance and the hotel should have told us about the gathering or addressed the noise level."

"We booked with Amargosa because of its interesting history and proximity to DVNP. The receptionist was very helpful and kind. Our room was clean and comfortable as well. The plumbing at Amargosa is as old as the building however. So that’s about 100 years. We noticed a pretty strong sewer smell in the hallway but not in our room. Also if we had wanted to shower we’d have had to keep the water running for 15 minutes before it got hot- and especially in the desert that just didn’t feel right....
