"This place was everything advertised and more. We loved having a poolside room which was large, clean and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable, and we loved the large balcony on the back side of our room which overlooked a lovely nature, garden type area. We loved the rooftop patio where we watched the sunrise every morning. We loved that we could rent a golf cart right there at the property. Staff friendly and helpful. The pool was perfect to cool off and just to hang out by. This is a very quiet place and so relaxing. We walked a very short ways to the Burracho Burro, very fun vibe and the best shrimp tacos ever. We walked to the ocean, just a short 2 block walk away. We loved the turtles they had there, fun to watch. This is our new go to when vacationing on the island, perfect place to stay!"

"This was our 2nd stay at Cabanas Maria del Mar. We had a ground floor Cabana room around the pool area. This property is truly a piece of paradise steps from the famous and super busy playa Norte. If you want to visit Isla Mujeres, but also escape the busy crowds on the beach and the streets, this hotel is your perfect option. Most days are quiet around the pool. The rooms are kept perfectly clean by the dedicated staff. Every cabana room has a spacious outside area with a table and chairs. Wifi is available around the pool but does not extend to some rooms."

"Would definitely book again. This hotel is literally down the street from the ferry very convenient. Yes, it’s on a busy street but everything is within walking distance the beach, food, convenient stores. We found so many local food vendors within walking distance and the food was delicious which we enjoyed and awesome getting to know the local people so welcoming. The church is down the street and has morning vendors and evening ones too and there’s a small grocery store too. Our evening receptionist Jonathan was so great very welcoming enjoyed talking to him and getting tips about things to do around the island. The hotel is small which in my opinion I preferred not crazy busy we’ve done resorts which are ok but if you’re looking for something convenient and welcoming and really want to get to know the island and it’s people this place is a must. Definitely booking again!!"
