"This was our 2nd stay at Cabanas Maria del Mar. We had a ground floor Cabana room around the pool area. This property is truly a piece of paradise steps from the famous and super busy playa Norte. If you want to visit Isla Mujeres, but also escape the busy crowds on the beach and the streets, this hotel is your perfect option. Most days are quiet around the pool. The rooms are kept perfectly clean by the dedicated staff. Every cabana room has a spacious outside area with a table and chairs. Wifi is available around the pool but does not extend to some rooms."

"Would definitely book again. This hotel is literally down the street from the ferry very convenient. Yes, it’s on a busy street but everything is within walking distance the beach, food, convenient stores. We found so many local food vendors within walking distance and the food was delicious which we enjoyed and awesome getting to know the local people so welcoming. The church is down the street and has morning vendors and evening ones too and there’s a small grocery store too. Our evening receptionist Jonathan was so great very welcoming enjoyed talking to him and getting tips about things to do around the island. The hotel is small which in my opinion I preferred not crazy busy we’ve done resorts which are ok but if you’re looking for something convenient and welcoming and really want to get to know the island and it’s people this place is a must. Definitely booking again!!"

"My husband and I came here for a quick 4 days. We had visited the property many years ago and vowed to come back to stay. We were not disappointed!! We loved the beautiful, quiet property. Eating the delicious (incl) breakfast every morning on the water was perfect and eating dinner a couple times at the restaurant Ulan, right across the street was so comfortable and easy. Enjoyed good food and live music there! Roger and Carlos took care of everything for us at the hotel during our stay. We enjoyed our own infinity pool and extra space in the Presidential Suite. The bed was comfortable and shower was open and had nice pressure. We rented a golf cart for our stay, which you would need to get around the island. It was easy and fun zipping around. We ate lunch on the beach every day and ate dinner either at Ulan, mentioned above or up at the north end of the island where all the action is. We had great seafood every day. We will definitely be coming back to stay here again!! "
