"The hotel's location is quite good and walking distance from most downtown hot spots. It is also a nice looking hotel with gilded Art Deco features. The rooms are fine but mine did smell like cat litter for about 24 hours. Not sure what that was about. The staff were very kind, and the attached restaurant was quite good (and the servers were super friendly). Overall, a good experience but was hoping for a little more for the price I paid."

"It was a very clean and spacious room but there were several issues. There was a $250 room deposit compared to average of $75-$100. Only 1 of 2 elevators worked and the bathroom door was replaced by double doors that didn’t actually fit so you could still see inside. First and last time there."

"The Kimpton was wonderful. Staff was so curteous, kind and paid attention to every detail - even calling me by name after just one meeting. We were in town before check in and they kindly parked our vehicle and kept our luggage until check in. The hotel was stunning, clean and very comfortable. In walking distance to all that Chicago has to offer. We will definitely choose the Kimpton again!"

"The staff here are always wonderful! Easy and convenient check in after taking a 4 hour train ride was exactly what we needed. The room was nice, but I wish we would have been told in the listing that our view was partially obstructed. Our last 2 stays we had a big window for our view which was absolutely perfect. THAT view kept us coming back. This time we had two windows with a gap between them and we were up against a part of the building that cut off the view going out to Lake Michigan. It...
