This was our first time in Chicago, and The Royal Sonesta did not disappoint. Conveniently located downtown, the atmosphere was a vibe. Not to mention, customer service was above and beyond.

My stay was top tier!! My birthday was NYE and I enjoyed every minute of it! The staff was very very nice and friendly! I will be back the summer! The food service and drinks at the Hoyt was also top tier! Very clean and my view of the city was so good!!! Highly recommended!

The location is amazing, and the hotel is very clean and updated. We could hear every word of the folks next door through the locked door between the rooms. It was ok for us because they actually went to bed early but if they had been up late it would have been a serious issue and we would have wanted to change rooms. Staff are friendly, but the front desk is slow and the elevators are slow too. Leave time to come and go to mitigate this. There is a 33 dollar per night surcharge you will pay on property. At the desk they will tell you you get 10 back per day to spend at the restaurant but they don't tell you that you need to spend it daily starting the first day because you won't get it the day of check out. Small issue. All in all it is my second stay at this hotel and I would do it again. All in all it is a great value for the money. Also, it is pet friendly. We did not bring dogs but it's a great perk!

Lovely hotel, great staff, excellent rooms. The hotel “scent” is wonderful too. Not a huge fan of the road in front of property and valet. You basically have to stop in the street and put your hazards on, but valet service employees were great

The hotel room was nice overall. I do believe that the room could’ve be sprayed down a bit and the tub cleaned thoroughly. The shower door didn’t close all the way though. The part I didn’t like was the fact someone tried to break in our room around 3am-4am and if I didn’t have the doorstopper and a few hangers on the door they would’ve came in. Watching the cameras around the building thoroughly could’ve helped.
