Really enjoyed our stay here. Overall, most of the staff was friendly and helpful except for Mustafa who held our bags, and the blonde long haired man at the front desk. They are the only reason I didn’t give this place 5 stars. They weren’t helpful, or friendly. This property and amenities are old but the place is definitely clean and has a good turn down service.

Everything was in a walking distance or close to a metro line! The place was really clean, breakfast options with discount and in general everything was lovely. Would definitely recommend! And also they let us leave or luggage there on our last day since our flight would leave late.

Not a terrible stay, rooms are spacious but feel outdated. Bathroom's shower curtains didnt close all the way, because of the way the bar works, making a challenge not to spray water everywhere. Location is good, close to Green/Orange/Red metro lines. They have a Paris Baguette on site, which is a chain, but typically well run bakery that offers lots of goodies. Check in was good, the two gentleman checking us in were very polite and informative. However, during check out, the only thing the staff said to us was to put the keys in the checkout box and proceeded to continue her chit-chat with the other employee, who asked her if she plans on pursuing a hospitality degree to which she responded in front of us "hell no, i hate talking to people". As someone who worked in hospitality, complaining about your job is (very) natural but never in front of guests. Really puts a damper on the image of the hotel.

While we were not allowed to check in earlier than 3pm upon arrival a few hours early, the manager was a nice young man who helped us store our luggage while we went off to explore the city. The cleaning lady was excellent and cleaned daily. There are restaurants connected to the hotel and around it. Downtown shopping and activities are all down Michigan Ave.
