"The only two complaints is that the food was terrible . Typical however, for all inclusive resorts almost never have good food . Second that is there isn’t really much to do . I was suppose to get resort credits through my gold membership with Expedia and a room upgrade . Plus spa credits . I never did .. so that was a bit annoying "

"Our family of 4, daughters 10 & 12 and friends went to this resort for 10 days in February 2025. I cannot say enough good things about our experience. The resort is beautiful, well maintained and manicured. The staff were very kind and considerate. The room was well appointed and spacious. While there are only a few main restaurants there are other eating options that are available certain times - the quality of the food and flavours were quite good. Not even our pickiest eater went hungry. The pools are set at such a nice temperature, very good swimming options. The beach has suffered extensive erosion, but we still enjoyed swimming every day in the sandy area. The beach is cleaned and seaweed is removed each morning. We did not use the kids club, although they did have an extensive area suited to young children. The evening entertainment was limited, but the shows they had were well done. Overall the only small details that I can say on a less positive level were that the tv package was very limited and we could not cast our phone to tv to play movies and the beds were a little firm. "

"We really enjoyed the pools and beach at this resort. We always felt safe and staff were friendly. Lots of food options- the pasta bar was especially a hit with our 4 year old! Some things starting to have a little wear but overall we enjoyed our experience with 2 younger children and would return"

"Paradisus was fantastic for our family ranging from ages 5-93. Food was plentiful and fresh. Great activities and shows for kids! The staff were very attentive and accommodating. Luis from Guest Services was so so helpful as well."

"We have visited Sandos Caracol twice and thoroughly enjoyed our time on both occasions. The food is excellent—we especially loved Fogo de Brazil, the Hibachi restaurant, and the Riviera. Even though we’re not typically fans of buffets, we found them to be fresh, well-stocked, and consistently good. Plus, the 24-hour taco bar is fantastic—having access to delicious tacos anytime is a huge perk! One of the most unique and incredible aspects of this resort is how seamlessly it integrates with nature. Seeing all the animals throughout the property is such a fun experience, and the on-site Mayan ruins add an extra layer of history and charm. The Mayan ceremony held one night was truly unforgettable. Our only real complaint—though it’s beyond the hotel's control—is the public beach right next to the resort’s beach. While it’s understandable that vendors are present, the constant interruptions from people selling massages, braids, and other items became excessive. Not only do they walk by repeatedly throughout the day, but they also tend to gather between the cabanas, sometimes blocking views just to chat with each other. Since we paid for the Select Club Adults-Only section, we felt it was frustrating how often they encroached on the space meant for guests seeking a more peaceful, exclusive experience. That being said, we didn’t let it ruin our time. We still loved our beach days—the cabanas are wonderful, and the overall atmosphere is fantastic. We’re already planning to return"

"Just came back from this hotel. Love the atmosphere of this resort, it was so beautiful. There were certain species to explore during my stays ( the coatis, deers, lizards, monkeys, scorpions, and many more). Kids swimming pool so much fun, beautiful layouts. Staffs were amazing and helpful. There were also golf cart for you to travel if you're tired of walking. I would give a 4 stars for cleanliness because there were stains on the floors and spots on the sofa in our bedrooms, we didn't know if they've ever mop the floors from the previous guests. Compared to the foods from other hotels, it wasn't the best. I would give a 3 stars, couple times the cold dishes of the meat got rotten in their buffet restaurant. But overall, it was a great moment to enjoy of my stays. "
