"I was very nervous booking through Expedia for this trip but it was very helpful to book both the stay and flights in one! The only thing I added on was transport to the airport and I strongly suggest having that booked (we used DAT). Excellence was absolutely amazing. All of the staff are friendly and make sure guests are satisfied and have a drink in their hand! There are so many options of things to do during the day around the pool, at the gym and at night. You truly do not need to leave the resort to have a good time (but they have a lot of excursion options if you wanted to leave that pick you up right at the resort). All of the food was delicious. No stomach issues at all. They provided bottled water all throughout the resort as well. Drinks were amazing - they could really make anything you wanted and they have waiters and waitresses walking around at all times to make sure you don’t need a refill. The resort was spotless, staff cleaning around the clock to ensure that. Room service was amazing with a very vast menu available 24/7! When we wanted our room cleaned they did an amazing job. Also they have a safe in the room for your belongings. This was the best stay I have ever had! "

"Good and clean beach area. Well taken care shrubs and trees. Alcohol selection at all the bars was pretty good. Good food selection in the Marketplace and Seaside buffet. High quality foods in Stake House and L'Essence, French restaurant. The service is very attentive."

"Excellence. El CARMEN is a great resort in every way. The staff are amazing and always willing to go the extra mile to make sure you’re comfortable. The ocean area is gorgeous and beach service is amazing. We had great meals at all the restaurants we went to although we weren’t able to get to the mall in the time we were there. Good experience from the beginning to the end. "

"Woodley at the check im was wonderful! The grounds were absolutely lush and beautiful. The people we very accommodating and kind. It was a little challenging with some food restrictions but we survived. We fell in love with the community cats. They were not a bother at all. They made our trip better. Swimming in the coral reef right off the beach was a DREAM! The fish are right by us and so pretty. The pool was the prefect temperature. We had a great time at the water park. The slides were a blast! I recommend! "
