"It is a hidden gem in the heart of Centro, Merida. The location is perfect—you can walk to everything. The price is affordable. Sophia and the other staff are excellent and friendly. However, two angels, Gabriel and Daniel, went above and beyond their jobs to make me feel comfortable and at home. I recommend Hotel Santa Maria to anyone visiting Merida. I look forward to staying there next time I'm in Merida "

"The staff was very nice and helpful. The lobby did not have ac, the pool and rooftop was disgusting. It was so crusty and pool was very dirty! However the gym was great. It was confusing having breakfast, only one part of the area was free breakfast, the other you needed to pay 16$ usd and when it got busy it was chaotic. No ice buckets in the room or anywhere! Marriott should be ashamed!"
