"The price was very reasonable for San Diego. The staff at the front desk and the maids were extremely courteous and helpful. The location was convenient and although safe, not the best part of town. The room was very clean. The mattress was new and firm. Stayed for nine days in February 2025. Complimentary breakfast (while the room was being renovated) consisted of brown bags for each guest containing orange juice, banana or orange, yogurt, Jimmy Dean sausage sandwich, pastry, bottle of water and protein bar. Not the del Coronado hotel but would definitely stay there again."

"The room was clean, property was clean as well. Enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Check in staff was friendly. The Mexican restaurant on the property had great food and drinks. Will definitely stay here again on my next trip to San Diego. "

"I loved the ocean view and the balcony. There are many seals across the street and plenty of shops within walking distance. Some people might complain about the noise of the seals, but if your window is closed you can’t hear them. I kept the balcony door open just a little and I could only hear a seal once in a while at night. Waking up to that ocean view was just beautiful. I had planned to leave the following day, but I had gone to La Jolla for a medical procedure and I didn’t feel well that night, so I had my husband ask at the front desk, if we could stay another night for the same price. I don’t know if this was an exception for me, since I was still recovering. Either way, I was very grateful and they were very nice about it. I will definitely go back again. I’d also add that I stayed in one of the remodels, not the older buildings. Thank you La Jolla Cove, for making my trip less stressful. "
