"We had a beautiful view of the ocean. All of the staff were above average. Thankyou Gregorio for your excellent beach service! Hotel is older now but the location is excellent. Paradise Plaza Mall - 5 minute walk Flea Market across the street on Tuesdays Massage on the beach - 1 minute walk Shopping hut on the beach - 1 minute Walking on the beach goes on forever. Food good. Overall 4.3/5"

"Overall, pretty good resort. Not the fanciest resort but great deal for what you pay. Pools and location were the highlights of this resort. Staff was really nice too, especially at the lobby and rooftop pool bar."

"Great location, near all services and shops. Easy to get taxi, uber, or bus. Food park is across the street. Short commute to Old Town or Melecon. Pool n views are amazing. Staff are attentive and available. Splurge for the breakfast buffet. And get to the pool early. "

"Everything was great! Rooms were clean, and Stefanie at the reception was very kind and helpful during our whole stay. Food was good at the buffet but we found the options at the pool snack bar very limited. "

"We appreciated the surroundings. The wait staff at the pool (Eduardo) was amazing. The hot tub in the suite needed some updating. We did not appreciate the concierge (sales) staff being so pushy about going in their sales tour, requiring a deposit to go on the tour (no other presentation we have been on ever required that) and when we said no multiple times there were no less than 3 persons trying to convince us we needed to go on the tour in order to enjoy visiting Puerto Vallarta. "

"We really liked the set up of this hotel. It was small. But clean, felt safe, and friendly staff. Down to earth. They also have the little golf cart like cars that are used in this town to rent. Very convenient. "

"I enjoyed the view from the room. The staff were accommodating and helpful. Property was convenient at location once arrived however, far from the airport. Surfing was available however, a lot of rocks and my son received a couple of cuts on his foot and hand unfortunately. I didn't like that there was no food (breakfast, lunch or dinner included). No meal plan available."

Marival Emotions Resort & Suites Riviera Nayarit by Mercure

5/5 Excellent

"This resort was beautiful, we were skeptical when we read other reviews but we were very happy with everything, the staff was awesome and very willing to help in every way they could. The Grand room we had was very clean and had a very nice view of the courtyard. Yes this resort is kid friendly however this did not affect how our trip went at all. The food was quite good despite the reviews being not great. We very much enjoyed the Las Palomas and Amalfi specialty restaurants for dinner. The Casa Bella buffet had a very good assortment for breakfast, lunch, and dinner as well. If we were craving a snack on the beach, La Bamba was the place to go, great Hamburgers and hot dogs with great side choices. The only thing foodwise that did not live up to our expectations was the Piazzetta dei Forni restaurant. The crust tasted cheaper and they put cut up hotdogs on some of them. Just for people looking at all of the different restaurants, if you book the all inclusive package, you do not have access to Mai Tai and Capriccio as they are for owners/VIP members. Everywhere else is free to eat at. Note to book at one of the specialty restaurants you need to wake up early and book them. All of the bars and swim up bars were amazing and had a different drinks of the day every day. The bartenders were very friendly and willing to make anything requested. Our trip was great and we have next to no complaints about Marival Emotions, would recommend to anybody with or without kids. "
