"Everything was perfect. I use hotels.com a lot cause of work and stay in many many places. For me this was perfect and without doubt one of the very best places I have ever stayed. Will put this in my list to come again, loved everything about it.. "

"If I'm being honestly I absolutely do not recommend staying here. It felt unsafe, unclean and the owners are unbothered despite reaching out. I was sent the key code for ALL of the key safes and told to just help myself. Pretty much every key safe already had the code on them so anyone walking past could have helped themselves to the property keys. I picked the key to room 5 and when I entered the smell of cigarettes was unbearable. So went through the other key safes to find a key for room 6, which had s reduced smell of smoke. The fire alarm went off 20 mins later and with no staff on-site I reached out to the contact that sent me the key code details and they asked ME to reset the fire alarm, which when I questioned they said 'it's fine it will be someone smoking in their room. I'll send a member of staff who will be there in 15 minutes' but no one came to check we were ok and so sounds like this is the standard. The kitchen was filthy and not cleaned at all in the week I stayed there. Pots and pans were disgusting, and in short supply - along with everything else - so cooking is pretty much a no go. I spoke to someone staying in the property who told me they had been there for 2 years and told me the boiler was broken which became apparent as the week went on. The room was ok cleanliness wise, bed sheets not great with hairs attached compared to the kitchen ok. The bathroom was gross though. Wish I could write more and attach photos because it was truly truly awful."

"Simon and Sue welcomed us as old friends of the family and after 2 days we thought we were. They are lovely people, very obliging, we had a fantastic breakfast included. They provided excellent advice on the sights of Liverpool and transport to and from, including the Mersey Ferry, Thankyou for the lift, and a personalised map. Every part of our stay was easy. We thank Simon and Sue for a wonderful stay. Pam and I can not recommend 2 The Rocklands highly enough. 10 out of 5 stars."

"After several attempts by email and despite promises our deposit was not refunded. Invoice clearly states deposit is refundable. Checkin was a drama! They handle multiple properties on site and had put the wrong keys in the lock box. So we were advised to go through the different lock boxes and keys to get in, then after that, no towels, so back down to lock boxes and go to another unit to get towels. This took well over an hour and while we were doing this a resident says, having key trouble? He then tells us this has happened previously to other guests."
