"The manager was so kind. We traveled as a family of three with our 11 month old. We booked a room on one of the higher floors, and the manager held another room for us for the first night in case we wanted to move since there was going to be noise from the club below. It ended up being just fine, but the thought was so considerate. "

I've been staying here for many years and there hasn't been any updates in that time. "Listen folks, if you are low on funds and need to stay in Manhattan for a night, this will suffice. I don't recommend couples coming here for a sexy night because the walls are thin and the ceilings are like mesh. You can hear everything. I'd say it's clean, but you can't clean built in grime. Great location. Nice staff."

"Hard to speak of it because oddly enough I did not end up staying there. You see, the hotel was fully booked when we arrived despite us making reservations. But thankfully, the guy (Frankie) at the front desk was kid and helpful and solution-oriented enough to put as at a second hotel owned by same owner 2 blocks away that was far better for the original cost! So...we were quite lucky! It was so nice there at the Allen Hotel and staff were very helpful and kind. So I have to give a positive...
