There are mixed reviews here. The hotel is amazing. The kids walked in and were in awe. Are the rooms dated, yes. It’s an old hotel but you would not know from the downstairs. The bathrooms in the room a could use a little pick me up but the stay was awesome and room itself was clean. Would def come back!

Great New York experience!!! Everyone employed at hotel and restaurants in hotel were just amazing!! So very nice, friendly & accommodating. The location is perfect, easy walking distance to Macys, Madison Square Garden and tons more! Inside hotel room was nearly silent, so soundproof! We slept great. Parking garage less than a block that gives huge discount for hotel patrons (get ticket validated upon check out). Will absolutely be staying here on our future visits!!

We stay at The New Yorker every year. Centrally located and easy to get around everywhere from here. Rooms are very clean, comfortable beds and pillows! The staff are so friendly and helpful. Especially Mohammad at the front desk. Highly recommend The New Yorker.

The hotel rooms and hallways are extremely out of date and are far from what I would expected from a NYC midtown hotel. While there was no issues with cleanliness, the wear and tare is noticeable, that colors look faded, the furniture very old. I also didn't like the electricity-saving lighting everywhere, it was overall very depressing and I know from my previous stays that over other similarly priced but much better options exist.

close to train station. The rooms are tiny and the toilet backed up. The halls, etc are so depressing. Beds are comfortable. If they would paint redecorate the inside it would make a huge difference. I had to change rooms and forgot some of my things and the slow response from the hotel staff meant that i lost my belongings. I dont think anyone stole them I'm sure they just got thrown out but they could have been recovered if the staff had acted quickly. I had to pay to rent a mini-fridge, the tv was old and had static lines and there was no way to connect to home Netflix etc and the movies available were terribly old. For the price i expected a lot more.

The property was nice. It had a nice gym three restaurants, good location. The windows need to be sealed in the rooms or at least in my room. It was freezing. The heat would go on and then when it went off, it would get really cold and the auto part wasn't working very well or something. All I know is I I was sleeping in my down coat
