II regularly stay at the Empire and have had good experiences--this time the blinds did not work in my room. I asked for another room upon check in and was treated gruffly by the front desk clerk, who would only offer that a repair person would come to fix the blind, but that person never came. After years of happy visits, I may be looking for a new hotel in future

I liked the hotel; especially the staff. The location was perfect for my needs. I didn't venture out much. I ate at the rooftop bar and, while very nice, I was shocked by the prices. The cost of living in Georgia must be much lower. It was easily twice the price that I would pay at home. I judge hotel rooms by several categories. The sheets and towels were excellent. The noise level was no issue at all. However, the room was too warm and I could not reduce the temperature. I think the room itself was a good value. If I could control the room temperature, I would return, if travel brought me to the area.

The property is a little bit outdated. You have to pay for chairs and umbrella at the beach 7$ for the item. The hotel provides the entrance ticket and towels to the beach which is great but you will have to pay if you want to enjoy the PUBLIC beach.

I really love the location and affordability of the hotel but I am extremely busy and check in was a 30 minute exercise in getting a room key that would work without 5 tries first. My first assigned room was also in an extremely dark corridor that I would never assign a woman traveling on her own to. TIme to upgrade the locks and the lighting.

I loved the location of this hotel for our stay in New York. It is right across the street from Lincoln Center and there is a subway stop just a block away. The staff is so friendly and I felt like they responded quickly to any of our questions or concerns. It is an older hotel and the carpet in the room was torn and the toilet would often run for a while after flushing. But those are pretty minor details in my book especially since overall things were very clean.I would stay here again.

I’ve traveled and stayed at multiple hotels and this place was by far the biggest disappointment. The junior suit we stayed in had wall paper peeling, damaged doors and furniture, horribly uncomfortable beds and very rude security staff. Me and my family were given another room after voicing our complaints but the replacement room was unacceptable as well with more damaged furniture, horrible beds and just not what you’d expect from a four star hotel in NYC.
