"Room was lovely and clean & in a very convenient part of Edinburgh- close to the station, restaurants and shopping as well as bus stops. We stayed in a very comfortable junior suite. My only complaint is that the room was a bit hot at night and we couldn’t open the window. Staff was very friendly. I would recommend the hotel and would stay there again."

Interesting area to wander around and lots of photo opportunities eg Botanic gardens (free entry) Circus Lane and beautiful new town buildings. Frequent buses throughout the city and beyond. "

"The Place was a comfortable stay for my husband and I. As other reviews mentioned, there are no lifts in this hotel, so pack lightly! Our room was large and comfortable. If this is your first time, keep your keycard in the slot by the door to "power" the room. Every plug has a switch, including the TV. The Place is close to a lot of great eats and shopping, but we chose this specifically because it was close to the Edinburgh Bus Station to catch our 7:45am 1-day bus trip with Rabbie's Tours....
