"I’ve stayed here before and my previous room couldn’t have been more different than the one from yesterday’s reservation. The room on the second floor looked beat up (for lack of better words). There were holes in a number of the furnishings and the bathroom door was peeling. The room just looked very outdated and dingy, including the smaller and older model flat screen TV. "There are parts of the hotel that are a little tired and in need of renovation. My room had a faucet that fell off - many paint dings and old materials..... BUT it was spotlessly clean - the staff were wonderful, the place has tons of old school charm (a renovation would need to keep the period character) and the location wonderful. "The location is spot on but at times it is evident that the place needs a lot of work. My room card stopped working several times and on one occasion I had to wait at reception for 15 mins before someone was available to assist me.
