"For a new hotel it’s somewhat run down. Look such nicer in the photos. The lobby area is not great. Rooms are a good size for nyc. Bathroom has no door so not very private! Food at the hotel is hit or miss as well as being over priced. Location is ok overall would not stay here again. "

"I love staying at The Knickerbocker. It is one of my favorite hotels in NYC & Milwaukee. Only issue was no one seemed to know what the Silver program through Expedia was. Even though the app told me to ask. When I checked in they were confused and it was fine. I have no clue what it means ha! But I love staying here, it’s clean and close to the subway. "

"Amazing quality hotel. The staff is amazing and very attentive to all needs. The food is of very high quality and well served. Loved the jazz bar at night and the breakfast in the morning. I definitely give it 5 stars, but need to acknowledge that the gym is many steps below the quality of the rest of the hotel. There are also very limited vegan options in the restaurants, but they make up for it with great espresso! Will definitely return to The Carlyle on subsequent visits to NYC! "
