"This is my fourth time in Tokyo and first time staying in Ueno. Tosei Hotel Cocone Ueno Okachimachi was at a very good location, close to the JR line which made travel with 3 younger children just that bit more easy. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and accommodating to our needs. The only drawback was the washing/drying machines that always seemed to be busy, but you can check on their status through the website. The room we stayed in was clean and comfortable. We will stay again. "

"We loved the location. Don quijote and Uniqlo are right next to the building. Area is very vibrant and happening. Semsoji temple is very very near. We felt that room was too small for a family of 3. Double bed what they claim is big enough for 3 and it is clearly not. "

remm Roppongi

3.5 star property
9.0 out of 10, Wonderful, (1248)
"We really enjoyed staying at this hotel. A lot of the reviews say the rooms are small but compared to some of the shoeboxes we've stayed at in Japan I would say this is a pretty decent sized room. The views from the 19th floor were spectacular and the room gets so much natural light. The room was very clean. The hotel is right around the corner from the subway station. The staff were helpful and friendly. We got a 2 hour late check out which cost 2000 yen but it was worth it since from there we...

Daiichi Hotel Ryogoku

3.5 star property
8.6 out of 10, Excellent, (1002)
"Not impressed with service (when compared to the amazing service that you often get in most other Japanese hotels), I asked if they could help us with a cab and they said they had a charge for that help. It was a minimal (500 yen) charge but it was more about the principal for us. DIdn’t see washer/dryer which we often find in Japanese hotels (we use those often), and breakfast Buffett was not worth the money, unless you like Chinese/japanese breakfast. Location was great though, plenty of...
