"This is not a new building. Almost nothing in the Old Quarter is - that's it's charm. The property has challenges due to age, but the staff managed any issues quickly and effectively. They were always helpful and informative, and arranged better prices for bookings than we could elsewhere. Overall - highly recommended."

"Located above a coffee shop, this apartment was a nice size for a backpacking couple. There are no elevators, so be ready to climb some stairs. Our room came with everything we needed for our stay. There are tons of shopping areas around and the entire area is very walkable to local views like the lake. I would recommend staying here."

"The San Palace Hotel is on the edge of the old quarter a d within a few minutes walk to train street. Multitude of food and attraction on the doorstep. The rooftop pool and bar a great oasis after a busy day on the streets. Staff went out of their way to help wherever they could."

"Perfect spot for our one night stopover in Hanoi! The hotel is within a 15min walk of Hoàn Kiém Lake, tons of food options (including lots of vegetarian), a great microbrewery storefront, and the infamous Train Streets of Hanoi. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, David ran us through a map of the area when we arrived which was very helpful. The breakfast offering is simple yet filling, and the place is showing its age a bit but with a lot of fun character and some beautiful decor."
