"The resort was nice and the rooms were clean. The AC was amazing and we had a ceiling fan which I loved! The food options were limited and basically the same every day. I’m a picky eater but I found some things to get me through the week. The waiter, Miguel, in the Mexican restaurant was amazing and went out of his way to make fresh pico for my mom. "This is my second stay at the Allegro Hotel in Cozumel. There are numerous things I could say about the hotel. However, what truly makes this a great place to stay is the staff! From check in to check out and every day in between, the staff went out of their way to be kind and helpful. I did have one server during a dinner that the young lady seemed rude. But I chalk this up to everyone has a bad day every now and again. I have been to Cozumel numerous times and stayed at a few different places....

"We've stayed at Cozumel Hotel and Resort multiple times and it just keeps getting better every time. The rooms really need updated though, take out those horrible tubs before someone gets hurt. Walk in shower would be way better. I like the added bar by the ocean and beach service. I like how they utilize the ocean view restaurant more as well. The only thing missing is a good coffee/late stand. The coffee pot, sugar and creamer packets are okay, but a fresh made cup of coffee would be great....

"At first, I didn't think my friends and I would like that there aren't sailboats, paddle boards, etc, but the snorkeling made up for it. We enjoyed watching the cruise ships coming/going. Much smaller hotel than we've stayed at before, but we really liked the more personal feel from the staff. I had seen reviews about the noise from construction. That is only during the day, and we didn't hear it on the beach or restaurant. We will definitely return"

"Main reason for the ratings is that the property was undergoing various forms of renovations and construction. That process started around 8 AM and went till around 6 PM Mon to Fri. Basically there was no quiet place inside the main property during that time. Otherwise, the property met my needs, the staff was helpful and friendly, and it was located in a good area closer to the cruise ship terminal area then actual city, which is generally a better area to be. "
