The bed was so comfy and the pillows were like sleeping on clouds. Lots of tea, coffee, milk and biscuits in the room, can't fault the stay, look forward to staying here again. "

"Visited for our 32nd wedding anniversary and was not disappointed. Booked a classic double room but when we arrived were informed that they upgraded us to an executive room which was really large and immaculately prepared. We had use of the spa facilities if needed for additional cost but free use of the swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna for 1 hour per day which made for a relaxing time after a long walk around York. Breakfast was really nice with a large choice of continental and cooked...

"We had a great stay. All staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel is clean and such a lovely building. Room was a squeeze to negotiate the entrance way and was a bit dark in certain places. Bathroom was compact but lovely - very nice toiletries provided. Pool area was spotless and had good facilities. Ideal location from station and only a short walk into the centre of York."

"The whole experience of coming to York and staying at the B and B from start to finish was excellent nothing was too much trouble for the staff and the food was vey good. It was good to have a vegan cooked breakfast on the menu for my friend as we always seem to struggle when we stay in places. Would certainly come back and stay if we go to York again.."

"The location is excellent and the inn full of character. The staff were all lovely and breakfast well presented and very good quality . The room was clean and pleasant, but as it was overlooked by both the City Walls and the beer garden I had to keep the curtains closed. Also the industrial extractor fan for the kitchen was right outside my window so there was a continuous noise from 7.00 until late into the evening. In a way, it was a plus because it was white noise that mitigated the noise...
