Being from out of the country, I was delighted to be welcomed so warmly and accommodated with an extra night after my last minute request. The food was excellent and it was lovely hearing the Minster chime throughout the day. Would definitely stay here again if I get to visit York again.

A lovely, comfortable, hotel with some of the best fish and chips that I had in two weeks of travel. And while eating breakfast I gazed at the gargoyles of York Minster from just a block away. Such a wonderful stay to end my trip!

We had a great couple of days at the Dean court hotel Staff were friendly and location was fantastic. My only grumble is that we were given a room without a window which meant that the room was very hot through the night .

Wow! Absolutely incredible place, beautiful and probably the best hotel in York. Really beautiful, fantastic location, great rooms, food. Everything at the Dean Court Hotel was fantastic. We originally had planned to stay 2 nights at The Guy Fawkes Inn, but it was absolutely terrible and arguably, one of the worst places we ever stayed at! Dean Court Hotel had a room, we booked it instantly and checked out early at The Guy Fawkes Inn and it was the best decision we made. It saved our weekend away. Best nights sleep in a hotel ever, fantastic spacious room with a beautiful shower and great location looking out at York Minster. The drinks and food were amazing too, great quality and very tasty. Can't say enough good things about this place, even the Christmas decorations were on point and great. It was a pleasure staying here and when we come back to York, we'll be staying here!

The location next to the Minster is superb, also easy walking distance from the station. My single room was upgraded to a room with a double bed but it was up twp flights of steep stairs so as I'm awaiting a hip op they were a bit much. Staff were extremely good both on Reception and in the dining room. Breakfast and dinner both very good.

I booked a single room for myself and found that I was stuck into a ground floor handicapped/disabled room without a single window which i did not request. I also discovered that I had been charged 200 GBP for that room, whilst single rooms on other floors were 134 GBP. This was an overcharge and I will never stay at this property again and will be telling everyone I know to avoid the Dean Court Hotel.

Overall the staff was great. The receptionist, manager, and various other very helpful staff. The only negative I had was during breakfast. I had to go on the hunt to find a person to order from after waiting and watching others eat for 10 minutes. The young lady that did finally take our order seemed bothered and she never once came back to our table, even though she continued to wait on all the the other tables in the restaurant. The breakfast was good though, as was the dinner the night before. We would definitely stay there again.
