"I often stay at The Vermont and have always had a good experience. On this occassion, Daniel (don't think iv seen him before) at Reception was amazing. We had a very early start and were tired from our journey. Daniel swifty took care of our bags and bought us some coffee. Helped us with suggestions for Brunch places. Overall, Daniel was very kind, helpful and has amazing front of house presence. "

Jesmond Dene House

4.0 star property
9.4 out of 10, Exceptional, (557)
"This hotel is very comfortable and clean, and the staff are helpful and knowledgeable, but the pledge they invite you to sign about not needing to have your room cleaned every day for so-called environmental protection is horse manure. It’s just a green-washing way to save themselves money. Also, don’t order from the night menu (if you can even find one in your room) unless you enjoy waiting for 40 minutes for lukewarm pizza that gives you the runs a few hours later! Final advice for the hotel:...

"Great stay again at Newcastle Sleeperz when we arrived we were informed the the room had just been refurbished but was not ready for us. The management were extremely sorry and offered us free drinks while we waited which wasn’t very long and gave us time to relax. Also supplied us with a free breakfast the next day, very hospitable. The room was in great condition with brand new curtains and extremely clean as always. Large comfortable bed and compact shower area with good air conditioning....

"The room on floor 1 was very noisy.due to traffic! It was as if our windows were open it was so loud. Other than that the room was excellent. Some wait staff were rather “snooty”. Breakfast was grossly over priced @ £24! Parking is very limited, we had to park in a metered area for 1.5 days"
