"Beautiful location. I’m a gym person so that was my only “complain” but there are so many places to walk so I was still able to get a workout in. The hotel is beautiful and you can’t beat it for the price and food. Friendly staff. I would recommend "

"Used as a base for rugby at Twickenham and it worked well with free parking and a two minute walk to the station then 25 mins to Rugby. Bar closes early on a Sunday but we found other places to eat and drink. Room was good and variable floors are certainly interesting but nothing dangerous. Staff we met were pleasant and breakfast good. Overall good value and would recommend/stay again."

"The room was clean and comfortable, although the position of the bed meant that I could clearly hear people using the toilet in the room next door. The toilet in my room made a loud humming noise while the cistern was filling but it only lasted for about 5 minutes each time. It was a good value stay in Portsmouth though"

"Hotel was absolutely amazing and the staff couldn’t do enough for you, our room (26) was perfect, balcony that looked out onto the castle and the music in the drawing room made a perfect castle atmosphere, breakfast was lovely and the staff even do a guided tour of the place with history information and even a video when you get onto the castle roof, would definitely stay again."

"We have stayed at the Petwood Hotel before, in order to join a friends party. We loved it so much that I treated us to a room overlooking the garden. It was well worth the extra money, as there was a raised area with a lovely table overlooking the gardens as well as the huge size of the room itself. The history and atmospheric quality of the hotel is superb and the local area is fabulous, especially for walks or cycling. Treat yourself to Sunday lunch if you can as a fabulous pianist called...
