"Lovely hotel, really easy check in. I’m a wheelchair user the lift is a little tight for a larger wheelchair and another person but doable, just. They didn’t have a wheelchair accessible room for 3. But the room we stayed in was large and I was able to get in with my chair. The bathroom wasn’t big enough to get my chair in . The hotel was clean, smells lovely, room was clean apart from mould on the nets."

"The annexe was beautifully clean - carpet in the main area rather than the hard flooring that many properties have these days - (although I understand why as it's probably easier to clean than carpet) however, that made it very cosy & so warm. "Efficient check in,comfortable accommodation. The hotel was cold in some places, guests had coats on in some communal areas . On the whole though a lovely relaxing stay . "

"Nice area and friendly welcome from the owners. Lot of building work at the rear of the property which was very noisy first thing in the morning which probably worth noting on the website. Property was reasonable but lacking in ventilation as the bedroom window was defective as was the skylight. Overall our stay was fine however if those mentioned shortfalls were addressed it would be a 5 out of 5"

"What a fantastic stay at The Carpenters cottage. The hosts Helen and Patrick were so warm and welcoming and Patrick also has an amazing workshop you can have a look at. We came to stay for my birthday to watch a band at the arts centre, and had such a wonderful time. Everybody was so kind and generous. The cottage was very comfortable, super clean and warm. The log burner is brilliant. Easy walk into the centre of town and lots of places to eat and drink. Definitely will stay again of we're...
