"Stayed in small camping pod and loved it. Loved the atmosphere there. Overall, much greater than I expected, and I already was excited for the stay. the restaurant overlooking the waterfalls and river, the troll garden stroll, the hot tubs. All superb. It is in a remote area and provided us an excellent view of the northern lights, which we watched from the hot tub. Ideal experience, I recommend giving it a shot. "

"My boyfriend and I travelled from the US for our first time ever to Iceland. The cabin was super comfortable and the location was perfect for enjoying a lot of the golden circle. The projector movie screen was our favorite after long days of hiking and driving. Would definitely stay here again if we ever return to Iceland! "We really loved the peaceful setting of the cabin. It felt so spacious for our group of two! The views were wonderful especially the glacier in the distance. It is definitely quite a ride into town so we were glad to have brought food to cook there. It was a great spot to access the Snaefellsnes peninsula which we did in one day. We would have loved to stay longer!"

"The link with all of the information wasn't working, and the hot pot didn't get used because of the broken link. Otherwise, the location was perfect for the southeast part of the Golden Circle, it was an easy drive from the airport/capital, and we saw some excellent Northern lights from the deck! "

We were glad to have a 4x4 because of the bad weather we faced, but any concern we could have had was evident in the information provided by our host. Additionally, they were incredibly attentive and communicative on the couple of instances we needed some help! "

"The cabin lives up to its name as it is very cozy and the views are spectacular. We had northern light shows both nights we stayed there and loved the sauna to warm up after a cold day on the glacier not too far from the cabin. The owner communicated very well and check in and out was very easy. We loved that the cabin is off the beaten path but also a 20 minute drive to restaurants and shops in Borgarnes. We would definitely stay here when we visit Iceland again. "

"Just spent a week at the cabin with my family of 4 (kids are 12 and 15). The cabin had everything you’d need for a family trip. Loved having the sauna and hot tub after chilly days seeing the sights. Jon checked in with me right away to make sure we got in ok (we did!). Highly recommend this cabin!"

"The cabin was charming and comfortable, and the property is surrounded by beautiful wild flowers. The sauna heats up quickly and is spacious. The private setting makes for a great sauna session. We really appreciated the extra towels for use in the sauna. Make sure to take some Nespresso pods with you to enjoy your morning coffee next to the gorgeous big windows. "We had a lovely, unique stay in that remote cottage. We loved the quietness, coziness and the big sky. Really enjoyed the mountain and sheep in the background. Did I mention we were fortunate to wath the northern lights for hours?"

"Thhey utilize their space well. We stayed in a hub. We opted for the lower bunk. Just the right space that we need to sleep. They have outdoor hot tub. They have a common room where they have ice machine, fridge and microwave. They have self-serve bar and vending machines in the property. It's witing walking distance to lots of restaurants, bars, souvenir stores, cafe’s, small groceries. You'll need to drive to other places. There are buses around too. There are options for parking, and we used a parking garage a block away."

"Rating: 5/5 Title: Excellent Stay – Spacious Rooms and Great Location I had a wonderful experience at Miðgarður by Center Hotels during my stay in Reykjavik. The rooms were impressively spacious, clean, and well-maintained — a real comfort after long days of sightseeing. The hotel is conveniently located just a short walk from the city centre, making it easy to explore key attractions, restaurants, and shops on foot. One of the highlights was the breakfast. There was a wide variety of fresh options each morning, and everything was well-prepared and replenished regularly. The staff were also courteous and helpful throughout my stay. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a central, comfortable, and well-run place to stay in Reykjavik."

Very Pleasant Stay

"Lovely room, nice decor and furniture and a decent size. Wifi was very good. Kettle in the room but there was a sign saying no cooking so I presume that means you can't use the kettle for making noodles. There is a grocery shop just behind the hotel which was very convenient. In front of the hotel is the seafront which was very nice."
