Great hotel and very kind and friendly staff. Easy 10-15 minute walk into central Reykjavik We parked at the nearby Netto which has free parking at all times Would highly recommend and would stay again

The staff were amazing!!!! We had a problem with one of our day trips. They helped us to get to be able to do a tour that we missed pick up for. They helped give us tips around Iceland (where to rent cars/eat). They had great personalities! This hotel and staff was amazing. I remember especially Ausie being of help. Great hotel to have your stay in. It’s close to bus stop #15 (a popular pick up spot for day tours and bus drop offs). The spa was relaxing. Book a stay here!!!

Lovely little hotel next to Reykjavík Harbour! Easily walkable to the centre, lovely friendly & helpful staff. Street parking nearby if you’re hiring a car. Overall 10/10

Property is very nice. Loved the spa. Is about a 15 minute walk to center city. Not bad in good weather but in windy/rainy season there were a couple days I wished I had chosen their sister property downtown. Breakfast buffet was well worth it but I did not try the on site restaurant for dinner.

Our room was very basic though very clean. Beds changed daily ,shower good but surprised the hand basin was not in the bathroom. Limited storage so had to live out of suitcase.

I liked the location close to the harbor for quick access to Northern Lights viewing. I picked this property because they said they had parking, but in reality there was just street parking nearby if you could get a spot. Also, there were only three outlets in the room and they were all on one side of the room - so that was pretty inconvenient. And becuase of this only lighting on one side of the room. On New Year's Day the cafe in the hotel was not open for business. I find this unacceptable. If you are open for guests you should be fully open. Would not stay there again.

Welcoming, friendly and helpful staff made check in (and out) easy. Beautifully decorated communal areas which were very festive. Spa was enjoyable and we had a very good breakfast included. A great end to our time in Iceland and we would stay again.

Grandi is a lovely hotel with all the amenities that you could want. The staff are accommodating and welcoming, the rooms are clean, practical and comfy. The spa is relaxing and the perfect way to top off a day touring. That said, I booked Grandi over a more centrally located hotel because of the spa. My daughter who is 9 loves the water and was very excited about this. Frustratingly, upon arrival we were told that the spa is 12 , the staff were understanding and allowed her to go in when the spa was very quiet but this meant we were only able to go once. When I booked I paid an additional fee for the spa access for my family of four (2 adults and 2 children), which was on the booking. It doesn’t seem right that I was able to book spa access for children who aren’t permitted access. This is briefly mentioned on the hotel info on Expedia but this was only found when I went looking, it should be more visible as I may have booked the alternative hotel for a more central location. The hotel is a 10-15 minute walk to the Main Street which was further that we would have liked. The breakfast has lots of options but was quite pricey for what it was especially with no meat alternatives other than pork and no children’s price which meant my daughter ate a couple pastry’s and had a glass of juice for €25.
