"First time at this hotel and we would certainly return if we came back to Reykjavik. Greeted with a smile and friendliness by Violetta on reception when we arrived to say we had been lucky to be upgraded which was a nice touch. The hotel has a cool bar / restaurant, a gym / sauna and unusually a barber shop! Rooms are clean and modern and bathroom contains great upmarket toiletries. Breakfast was great for both hot and cold options. Location is perfect on Laugavegor walking distance to shops, bars and restaurants. We found street parking easy enough and there is also an underground car park 300m away on the same street. As mentioned before all staff from reception to bar / restaurant and housekeeping were happy and friendly when encountered. "

"This was the most AMAZING hotel. Great room, perfect location and the MOST COMFORTABLE BED!!! My ONLY complaint is I only got to stay there one night. Would be worth going back to Iceland just to stay in the hotel again"

"The location of the hotel is excellent! My wife and I had a view of the mountains and the water. The mountains in March were still mostly covered with snow so the view was incredible! The hotel is within walking distance of many restaurants, gift shops and the popular tourist areas. The staff was very helpful, friendly and polite. My wife had breakfast there and they had a good selection of breakfast items and the food was good and healthy as well. We had an excellent experience at the hotel and Reykjavik. We would definitely stay there again on our next visit to Iceland!"
