"Stayed in small camping pod and loved it. Loved the atmosphere there. Overall, much greater than I expected, and I already was excited for the stay. the restaurant overlooking the waterfalls and river, the troll garden stroll, the hot tubs. All superb. It is in a remote area and provided us an excellent view of the northern lights, which we watched from the hot tub. Ideal experience, I recommend giving it a shot. "

"We really loved the peaceful setting of the cabin. It felt so spacious for our group of two! The views were wonderful especially the glacier in the distance. It is definitely quite a ride into town so we were glad to have brought food to cook there. It was a great spot to access the Snaefellsnes peninsula which we did in one day. We would have loved to stay longer!"

"This cottage is well placed for exploring the west of Iceland, with Snaefellsness Penisula, Reykjavik and the golden circle route all within easy driving distance. Shopping and cafes can be found in Borgarnes, about 10 minutes drive away. It also provides a good view to the north and west in the event of Northern Lights. "We had a fantastic stay at this cute and cozy cabin. It is perfect for 2 adults. It was an easy drive from Reykjavík and the town Borgarnes had everything that we would have needed. The kitchen/dining/living room was a nice open concept that made the space feel large and the views with this specific cabin were beautiful and private. The fireplace and sauna were awesome to have. "Beautiful, cozy, perfect little cottage for our family of 5. With a spectacular view of the river and mountains from every room, we enjoyed the hot tub late into the night. Perfectly clean, warm and comfortable beds. A hidden gem!! "

"We had a lovely, unique stay in that remote cottage. We loved the quietness, coziness and the big sky. Really enjoyed the mountain and sheep in the background. Did I mention we were fortunate to wath the northern lights for hours?"

"Great place, far away from everything, so buy from a store what you want because no grocery store in radius of 50-60 km. Because it is distant from lights we managed to see the Northern lights for the first time there :)"

"We stayed here for 1 night. We reached a bit after dark and it was our first night in Iceland. The guy at the reception did not understand much English. It was very dark as there is no light pollution. It would have been helpful if he had come with us to show the room, as we had to cross a little bridge after parking our car and we were fumbling in the dark. It is not far from the parking, or the main building, but he just gave us the keys and pointed outside, rather than just take the 5 min walk and show us the room. The breakfast was adequate and the view was good from the breakfast cafe. We did not see the northern lights that night, but the place can be great to see the northern lights. The cafe has microwave, and it is possible that they let you warm your own food there. The room had the coffee maker only. "

The peace and quiet of a raging waterfall!

"Charming little place in the middle of nowhere, which I loved. Incredible quiet except for the roaring river and waterfalls the hotel overlooks. The breakfast was excellent and offered lots of options, and the dinner I had one night was delicious. A great choice!"
