"Liked owner and family. Their pride and joy, well-earned and much deserved. Our requests(for dishes and cutlery to eat some leftovers) were accommodated elegantly. Breakfast is top-notch: both tasty and in exceptional taste. Sole negative is that it's too far from Vancouver for sightseeing (we had no car). We did enjoy visiting Steveston and the cannery, but one day and two nights was our stay and would anyway have been the limit absent a car."

"We will return to the Sylvia Hotel. Its proximity to all things Vancouver is unparalleled. Close to Stanley Park for walking, running, cycling, swimming, and the beaches. Close to Granville Island and downtown. Yet, it's quiet and tucked away from city traffic noise. What will wake you are the crows and seagulls and fresh sea air. "
