"Not the greatest place to stay at in Kyoto. - The closest rail station (Fushimi) is about a 15-20 minute walk. - The hotel room is dirty. We got non-smoking and they delivered on that (no smell). But the carpet in our room had clear dirty spots and so did the ceiling. - Standard washroom amenities like shampoo, conditioner, body soap etc - Can't refuse room service it seems -Size of the room was good"

"Fushimi Ohana is a traditional Japanese house that is located in a quiet neighborhood. We LOVE the design of it. Staying there is like leading a local Japanese's life, which is quite nice. "This was our favourite hotel of our trip. The outside is fairly grand, although it is pretty much in the middle of nowhere. There is a couple of convenience stores within a ten-minute walk, but not really any restaurants we could see. There are other grand hotels in the vicinity. "Not that cup of tea for my spouse and I. The environment is not very conducive and pleasant. Place is also inconvenient. Shouldn't be named as HOTEL though or probably just a cultural difference from my end."
