Close proximity to Nijo Castle however best to take a bike from the hostel starting from 500 yen to travel around as trains and buses do get crowded during peak season. "Amazing ryokan stay in the heart of Kyoto; there’s a public bath you can try which is traditional and fun way to shower / bathe. When you check in they pour you tea and give you traditional sweet; they then go through breakfast times; breakfast in the room is amazing and must try.
