"Not the greatest place to stay at in Kyoto. - The closest rail station (Fushimi) is about a 15-20 minute walk. - The hotel room is dirty. We got non-smoking and they delivered on that (no smell). But the carpet in our room had clear dirty spots and so did the ceiling. - Standard washroom amenities like shampoo, conditioner, body soap etc - Can't refuse room service it seems -Size of the room was good"

"The only thing is the property is not very clean. But it is part of it being old and a little under maintaned. Otherwise a wonderful choice. I stayed 2 weeks ans went to Kyoto everyday without any issues. Fantastic! Will be back! "

"A riverside hotel with roomy japanese style suite, great for family travel or a group of friends. Although the reception can only speak a little English, they are very helpful."

"Not that cup of tea for my spouse and I. The environment is not very conducive and pleasant. Place is also inconvenient. Shouldn't be named as HOTEL though or probably just a cultural difference from my end."

"We stayed out of necessity... the whole of Kyoto was fully booked. This really is a 'love hotel' rooms can be booked by the hour and come with A LOT of 'extras'! The staff don't have a lot of English but they tried really hard. It's about fifteen minutes walk to the nearest train station but only 5 minutes into Kyoto main station once on the train. "
