"I reviewed some of the reviews prior to traveling. Do not take the negative reviews with much weight. I wholeheartedly would give this resort a 5/5. The place was beautiful (yes, a little dated, but beautiful). The staff were so welcoming, funny, kind, consistent, and absolute professionals. The resort's pools were absolutely overwhelming. They were the biggest pools that I have ever seen in my life. The animals and nature were also amazing. I have never seen some of the animals. There were coatis everywhere! They were so cute. The location was convenient to Downtown Playa Del Carmen. There was a resort shuttle for 10 dollars round trip per person; the shuttle was great! A note of caution! Book a taxi from the airport PRIOR to getting to Mexico. The taxi experience is frustrating when you do it the day of. Never, ever, pay the first price they tell you. We paid 220 for two people to get to and from the resort. You can likely find cheaper. All of the critics seem to be not down to earth. This is an affordable and welcoming resort. You get what you pay for with respect to fancy food. The food was what you would expect for an affordable resort. It was good, but nothing I would rave about. There is only one criticism that I do agree with. I think the reservations for the restaurants fill up wayyyy too quickly. Make sure to book a reservation as soon as you check in. Plan your dinner times out to be conveinant for your plans. Otherwise you will not get a reservation. <3"

"Good quality was good, drinks were good but room service food quality wasn’t the best and that’s not included in all inclusive package. Less cabanas and more chair around the pool would have been nice. Perfect location for walking downtown. "

"The resort was amazing! The staff is so friendly and helpful, they made the experience very welcoming. TRS is very walkable, you can reach many delicious dining options and the beach is just a stones throw away! ( depending on your villa location ) one of our favorite places to eat was capricho. ( don’t miss out on the Sunday only Mexican dinner ) We had a blast every day there were interactive activities at the Helios Infinity pool. Don’t hesitate to ask your butlers for anything they are extremely accommodating and were eager to make our stay one to remember! "

"Food was great. Staff was accommodating. Georgina in the kids club was fantastic! We really liked that you could check the kids in or out at any time of the day. Drinks were great. Loved that you could go anywhere on both resorts. A la carte restaurants were great but make sure you book your reservations as soon as you get there. Smoothie bar is awesome for kids and l adults. Beach volleyball was a blast. No complaints! Would definitely stay here again"

"We thought the facilities and staff were excellent. Everyone was helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. Excellent experience all around. The food could have been a little better, but there were plenty of options and everything was well presented."

"It is a beautiful property with great beachfront and a walkable beach in both directions and you felt safe walking on the sidewalk. Having access to other resorts was great since one had tennis, basketball and pickleball that this resort did not. Food and drinks were amazing, and I liked not having to make a reservation at the specialty restaurants. Nightly entertainment was good too. Staff were friendly, attentive and it was very clean. Halls can be a bit noisy at nighttime, but if you aren't facing the centre, the outside is quiet."
