"This was our second stay at Serendipity. The property is nicely maintained and we were very comfortable. Chie san was very helpful. We tried out some more of her recommended restaurants and were not disappointed. A particular plus is that the house, while very quiet, is just steps from a major bus line, so that it is very easy to get downtown, to the station, or to Higashiyama or Gion, in just minutes. "We are a family of 4 and we booked 2 rooms. The service was incredible from start to finish. Aya and Rodrigo go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need. There was also a young Japanese man, I forgot his name. He was the sweetest person you will ever meet. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The neighborhood is very quiet and a little bit away from the city, but there are places to eat within walking distance. I would stay here again if we ever came back to Kyoto!"

"Good location with several nearby bus stops. Roomy enough for 2. Good lighting and cooking area. Very good trash collection & towel laundry. Needs a dining table and chairs instead of the very uncomfortable couch-bed as no usable eating spot. The table chairs would be more comfortable to watch TV than that terrible couch. A couple of suitcase racks would be nice. Overall satisfied with apartment as a good value with good staff and location."
