"This is our second stay at this resort & I would have to say whilst the resort is still very nice it feels a little run down for the price of staying here. We had a junior swim out suite suite & the first room we were given had a faulty sliding door that could not be secured (& looked like it had been like that for some time) & the spa bath inside the room was also broken. "The staff was always awesome, friendly and kind. The buffet was good, great variety plus food at the pool and a casual food truck spot toi. The pools and swim up bar were great, the beach is great, location is great. My only complaint is that the room was cleaned but had a strong mold smell, as well as some areas in the hallway. "Great location about 1.5 miles or a $6 cab ride to the malecon. Close to the airport 15 mins if there’s some traffic. The Versailles neighborhood is right up the street with a lot of options for food if you do not want to do AI everyday. "We chose this place because of the price we got it for. We love the staff and the hospitality. The facility is very dated but we do admire the Mexican feel to it. They have no beach front but they have shuttle options which was great. Plus, the beach is just a 3 - 5 minute walk which was ok. If we could get another deal for the price, then we would definitely come back. "
