"Amazing stay at Hanaori! We stayed at the Deluxe Room with private open-air bath. Staff were wonderful, there's welcome-drink at the reception. The view was amazing; you can see the lake from the lobby & dining area. There's foot-onsen also overlooking the lake. Dining is all buffet, but it's the same every night / every morning. Public bath was also great (both indoor and outdoor). Absolutely no tattoos allowed in the public bath. Walking distance to Hakone ropeway to get the black-eggs. "

"The exterior looks old but the interior seems to have been renovated and it is in excellent condition including the room we were in. The private onsens are in outstanding condition, the public onsens are great although not as good. The breakfast was excellent with several Japanese and western dishes. The place is close enough to the train station to walk but far enough so that the noise of the town does not bother. "
